Totoli is a quality tablet app-experience for young children. Originally it was designed with its dedicated hardware to elevate the product through a playful yet elegant design. The tablet's hardware is designed to provide protection to the device as well as a comfortable grip adapted to young children's ergonomy. Totoli provides a healthy experience that respects young children’s pace, ability and needs.
Project Foundations
Understanding the context as well as parents and children needs and challenges was key in defining the project mission and objectives. This groundwork led to important foundations that would shape and drive the whole brand and product of Totoli.
The “Tokens design” (early concept)
Initially, the hardware design of Totoli was based on a unique “physical interface” where the children use tokens figurines to activate content on the screen. This intuitive interface aimed at helping young children to take their first digital steps.
